Real life can be complicated. You don’t have to figure it all out alone.
Life Skills for Living Well is a series of welcoming, practical workshops designed to help you navigate some of the challenges that come with being human — relationships, emotions, stress, change, communication and more.
These are relaxed, conversational workshops where you can learn something new, reflect on your own experiences, and pick up practical tools you can use in everyday life. There’s no need to have everything figured out and no expectation to share anything you’re not comfortable sharing.
Each workshop is just $15. Come to one, choose a couple that speak to you, or join us for the whole series. You choose what works for you.
Say What You Mean: Communication That Works
Good communication isn’t just about talking — it’s about feeling heard, understood and able to express what you need.
Explore practical ways to communicate more clearly, listen more effectively and navigate difficult conversations with greater confidence.
Boundaries Without the Guilt
Boundaries can be hard. Saying no, asking for what you need and protecting your time can sometimes leave us feeling guilty or worried about what others will think.
Explore what healthy boundaries look like, why they matter and how to communicate them in a way that feels respectful and authentic.
When Things Get Tense: Understanding Conflict
Conflict is a normal part of relationships. What matters is what we do when it happens.
Explore ways to understand conflict, reduce tension and approach disagreements more constructively. Learn practical strategies for handling difficult moments without making things worse.
Getting Comfortable Being You
How we see ourselves can affect our relationships, our choices and how we move through the world.
This workshop offers an opportunity to explore self-esteem, self-awareness and the ways our experiences can shape how we see ourselves. Come curious, reflect on what makes you who you are, and consider what it means to feel more comfortable in your own skin.
What’s Really Going On With My Anger?
Anger gets a bad reputation — but anger itself isn’t the problem. It’s often a signal that something matters.
Explore what may be underneath anger, how anger shows up in our lives and relationships, and practical ways to respond rather than simply react.
Running on Empty: Understanding Stress
Feeling overwhelmed? Constantly busy? Finding it hard to switch off?
Stress is part of life, but living in a constant state of stress can take a toll. Explore what stress does to us, what may be contributing to it and practical ways to manage stress and create more balance.
Grief Is Messy: Understanding Loss and Moving With It
Grief doesn’t follow a neat timeline, and there is no single “right” way to experience it.
This workshop provides space to explore grief and loss, understand some of the ways grief can affect us, and consider ways of moving forward while honouring what — and who — we have lost.
When Your Mind Won’t Give You a Break
Worry, low mood, overthinking and anxiety can make everyday life feel harder than it needs to be.
Explore anxiety and depression, how they can affect our thoughts, feelings and behaviour, and practical strategies that may help you understand and navigate difficult emotional experiences.
Stuck? Let’s Talk About Change.
Sometimes we know we want something to be different, but we’re not sure what to change — or how to begin.
Explore the process of personal change, what can keep us feeling stuck and how small, realistic steps can help us move toward something different.
One workshop. Two workshops. The whole series.
There’s no commitment to attend them all. Choose the workshops that interest you, come to one or come to all of them.
